Once a year the world comes together to celebrate Earth Day, a time where world climate leaders, grassroots activists, and thought leaders come together to raise awareness and drive action towards a better environment. This year’s theme is Restore Our Earth and as a company that understands that everything good starts with Mother Nature, we are behind this 100%. Here’s how we take action as a business to care for what matters most—on Earth Day, and every day.
We believe that healthy skin starts with powerful plant extracts—active botanicals and minerals rich in potent antioxidants and vitamins that feed the skin from the outside in. Just all-natural skincare goodness and no harmful ingredients or synthetic products for us. Not only is this better for your skin, but it’s also better for the environment too. Synthetic chemicals can seep into the ground, damaging the surrounding ecosystems and harm animals and plants which they come into contact. Manufacturing traditional skincare products can also put stressors on the environment through mining production and by leaving a negative carbon footprint on the environment as a whole.
As part of our commitment to all-natural, 100% vegan skincare, we do not test on animals, ever. By forgoing testing on animals, we’ve been able to bring our ethical beliefs into our all-natural skincare process—doing our part to support the humane treatment of all living things.
98% of our packaging is eco-friendly and recyclable, including our packing materials. This is just one more way we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint every step of the way. Our containers are glass or high-grade plastic, our packing peanuts are eco-friendly and water dissoluble, and the paper packaging is compostable. Being efficient and creative with our packaging and materials, means less space required for storage, and more emphasis on reducing solid waste, water usage, electricity and emissions.
Supporting eco-friendly companies is just one way to do your part and protect our natural resources. If you are looking for ways to green up your life, it can be easier than you think. Start at home, with the products you use, the food you buy and by looking for ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
